Foreign Students Selection through Independent Selection

Requirements :

  1. Graduation of Senior High Scool, Vocational High School and Islamic Senior High School in past 3 years
  2. Recent Pictures
  3. Original Students’ Progress Report
  4. Letter of Acceptance
  5. Visa
  6. Statement Letter of Domicile (Dispenduk Sumatera Barat)
  7. Exit Permit (Imigrasi)

 

Admission Procedure:

  1. Registering on http://spmb.unp.ac.id/Asing by filling students’ personal data (name, mobile number and date of birth) to get account number and number of admission fee as well as User ID and PIN.
  2. Paying the admission fee through Bank Nagari or transferring through all ATMs (Bank Nagari, ATM Bersama dan ATM Prima).
  3. Filling the admission form (Semester data report started from Semester I to semester V and Result of National Exams) on http://spmb.unp.ac.id/Asing to get the registration card.
  4. The procedure of admission form can be downloaded through http://spmb.unp.ac.id/Asing
  5. Maximum choice is 3 programs of two different faculties.
  6. The selection uses data of students progress report from Semester I to semester V and Result of National Exams and prior score of SBMPTN (for those who are already participating in the previous year).
  7. Skills Test for those who want to enroll certain programs like Sport, Health and Recreation, Sport Science, Dance, Fine Art, Music and Visual Communication Design.
  8. The place of test in Faculty of Sport Science for Sport, Faculty of Language and Art for Art and Music, Faculty of Mathematic and Natural Science for Science Olympic, Faculty of Engineering for LKS and Faculty of Social Studies for Reading Qoran Competition and Hafiz.
  9. The result of selection is announced in July through http://spmb.unp.ac.id/Asing
  10. Submitting the result of selection to International Office that Letter of Offer (LoO)can be issued
  11. International Office will contact Academic and Students Beaureu of Universitas Negeri Padang regarding to the foreign students acceptance
  12. If the students is accepted the International Office will issues Letter of Acceptence (LoA)
  13. The issued LoA has to be reported to Academic and Students Beaureu of Universitas Negeri Padang

UNDERGRADUATE

  1. Legalized copy of academic reports (year 11 and 12)
  2. Legalized academic high school certificate/ diploma
  3. Curriculum vitae
  4. Statement of financial support
  5. Recommendation letter (applicant’s school/ institution)
  6. Health certificate from certified physician
  7. HIV/AIDS free certificate
  8. Motivation letter
  9. Personal statement (not to work and obey the regulation)
  10. Copy of passport (showing applicant’s data)
  11. 4 passport-sized photographs

 
POSTGRADUATE

  1. Legalized copy of academic transcript and legalized copy of undergraduate degree certificate (masters degree certificate for PhD programs)
  2. Curriculum vitae
  3. Statement of Financial Support
  4. Recommendation letter (applicant’s school/ institution)
  5. Health Certificate from certified physicians
  6. HIV/AIDS free certificate
  7. Motivation Letter
  8. Research proposal (for Ph.D applicants)
  9. Personal statement (not to work and obey the regulation)
  10. Copy of passport (showing applicant’s data)
  11. 4 passport-sized photographs

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENT
If you are an international applicant, you will need to provide evidence of your proficiency in English. This can take the form of an acceptable IELTS or TOEFL score. The minimum English Language requirements for admission are:

  1. IELTS (Academic): an overall score of 5.0 (undergraduate) and 5.5 (post graduate)
  2. TOEFL paper-based: an overall score of 500 (for undergraduate) and 530 (post graduate)

IMPORTANT: International applicants are required to attend short course of Bahasa Indonesia and Indonesian culture for three months for free.
